Looking forward to taking the senior lab swimming or to a grassy ravine tomorrow. I'm going to take the child's wagon along, so she will have the energy to explore without pain or exhaustion. Where are all the ancient dogs who still love gentle explorations? I know they sleep a lot, which might be misleading. I want to take the elderly ones!
Then again, I love the babies.
A late night note - I've been taking the elderly lab out all week, and at our last outing, she trotted, for just a few steps, but she trotted! Also, for the first time, she didn't listen. Something in the forest drew her interest and she was young again, exploring without heeding me at all.
And tomorrow around 11 a.m. I'll be seeing her again.
