Dogs who stay with us wind their ways into our hearts - mine, my daughter Caroline's, and our lab Frida's. We really adopt each one. The dogs feel this, I'm quite sure. We are always a bit surprised when the time comes for them to go home. We do love them!

A regular day at our Dogge Bed and Breakfast

• 2 trail hikes (off leash only, out of the city); 90 minutes each and sometimes more!
• 1 evening stroll/hike; generally on a lake shore trail 
• full access to the house (at the time of this writing, two pups have chosen my bed as their sleeping place!)
• love and respect in abundance
  
  

Trail hikes replenish the spirit. Included in sleepovers are two (and often three) out-of-city trail hikes, as well as additional outdoor play. Our yard is totally fenced in, and we are ten minutes away from the waterfront for dogs who love swimming in season.

Our lab Frida is a happy, generous soul and her canine presence helps put her friends at ease. In her quiet, gentle way, she's alongside from those first moments when guests arrive at our door to those rather wistful times when they leave. She shares her toys, plays, and comforts. 

I have found accustomization visits are wonderfully helpful as a way of easing a dog into a stay-over (boarding). There is no charge for this service. 

For longer stay-overs - a single night stay-over is advised as part of the accustomization process. It is important to me, the dog, and his/her human that the stay-over proceed smoothly and joyfully.

• Knowing that Morty is in a loving home like yours & getting out for fantastic hikes in sunny winter days makes it much easier to enjoy time away.
  


• We have had the most incredible trip imaginable. And a big part of our enjoyment was because we never worried about Toby thanks to you! We are so thrilled to hear that it went so well and that you, Caroline and Frida took him in like he was a part of the family. We are so grateful to have you in our lives and Toby's! We can't thank you enough, it means so much knowing that Toby has been so well cared for!
