Happy Trails is a unique dog service. Dogs under my care become part of my extended family, and I do believe my canine friends have a natural understanding of my profound love for them.

• Homecare 1/2 day - $35

full day - $60

Dogs in our homecare enjoy two out-of-town hikes every day. In our 90-minute hikes, dogs are free to explore forests and trails; all roam off leash. Hours are generally from 9 am - 6 pm, but other scheduling (extended hours) can be easily arranged.

Love, generosity and genuine respect define our service. Swimming daily in season! All hiking trails border on lakes, streams, and creeks!

Each hike is roughly 90 minutes and can extend longer when all are enjoying the excursion. Dogs must have good recall for this out-of-town hike. The joy of my canine friends is immense. I am thrilled and honored to explore with them. Bonding visits are an integral part of this service; there is no charge for bonding visits at our home. Visits take place before or after trail hikes. (We have introduced puppies into our pack and we have successfully and safely helped them evolve into wonderful hikers!)

I often find, especially with the enthusiasm of my canine friends on our trails, that one hike lasts all morning or afternoon!

All our pups really do become family. Homecare and boarding in our own home deepens our bond and pleases all immensely!

• Hikes - $35 for each 90-minute hike
  All hikes are on out-of-city trails, with streams/lakes as part of our excursion, each exploration grand and memorable for all. Hikes often extend to 2-hour explorations!
• Sleepovers: $80 per 24-hour period
  Sleepovers include two out-of-city trail hikes (and often three!), one pre-sleep outdoor romp, as well as additional outdoor play/bathroom breaks. We offer our guests the option of home-cooked meals and serve organic treats. Love and affection are in abundance. We do not crate our dogs.

• Long-term Home Boarding: $75 per 24-hour period
  Frida and I - and my sweet daughter Caroline - give our hearts to all dogs who stay with us. They really do become part of our family, and we are always a bit saddened when they return to their full- time families.
  
  Dogs staying long term have the option of home cooked, raw or their regular foods. Out-of-town trail hikes (off leash) and gentle evening strolls are enjoyed every day - we explore forest trails twice a day! Dogs are welcome to bring their own bedding or to choose sleeping spots of their own (often beds of human family members!).
